My Background and PracticeI've been licensed as a psychologist in New York State since 1980. Subsequent to my doctoral training, I took additional training in psychotherapy/psychoanalysis and hypnosis, and was awarded certificates in those fields by the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and the Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. My practice has two main areas of concentration. Approximately 50% of my time is devoted to helping individuals, such as yourself, to achieve their smoking-cessation related goals. In the balance of my time, my professional efforts are focused on helping individuals with other-than-smoking issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship and career-related difficulties. Regardless of the focus of our efforts, my primary interest, as reflected in my pledge to uphold the ethical principles and guidelines for practice of both the American Psychological Association and the New York State Psychological Association is the enhancement of your well-being.
